HEALTH DISCLAIMER AND WAIVER

Last updated: October 2026

COACHING IS NOT MEDICAL CARE

Peter Totten is a strength and conditioning coach and sports nutritionist, not a doctor, physiotherapist or registered dietitian. Nothing on this website or in your coaching is a diagnosis or treatment. Speak to a medical professional before starting a new training or nutrition plan, especially if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant.

BEFORE YOU TRAIN WITH US

Every client completes a health questionnaire covering heart and blood pressure, chest pain, dizziness or fainting, bone and joint problems, medication, recent surgery, and nutrition-related history. If you answer yes to any of the key questions, we may ask for clearance from your GP before starting.

Tell us straight away if anything changes, and stop training if you feel chest pain, severe dizziness, numbness, sharp pain or unusual shortness of breath.

THE RISKS

Training and performance testing carry risks, including strains, sprains, joint injuries, flare-ups of existing conditions, fainting and, rarely, serious injury. By training with us you take part voluntarily and accept those risks.

ONLINE COACHING

When you train without us there, you're responsible for a safe space, sound equipment, choosing sensible loads, and stopping if something feels wrong.

NUTRITION AND MAKING WEIGHT

Nutrition guidance is for health and performance. If you have clinical needs, such as a history of disordered eating, diabetes or kidney disease, you also need support from the right clinician. Making weight carries risks. We plan it with safety first, but you're responsible for following the plan as agreed and telling us if you feel unwell.

RESULTS

We can't guarantee strength, weight, performance or fight outcomes.

LIABILITY

To the extent UK law allows, Crescent Conditioning is not liable for claims arising from your training. This never limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

VENUES AND EMERGENCIES

If you train at a third-party gym, that venue's own rules and equipment apply. In an emergency during an in-person session, you agree we can take reasonable action, including calling emergency services.

YOUR AGREEMENT

When you tick the box on a booking or application, you confirm you've read this page and the Coaching terms, and that the health information you give is complete and accurate.
